Evidence

In March 2003 Lift put a call out to artists to submit an expression of interest to be part of the Lift Evidence team. A Lift Evidencing team – artists, diarists, photographers, scientists, anthropologists, and other creative and academic recorders – bears witness to the phenomenon of theatre and traces the shifts of perception amongst artists and audiences.

The Evidence they accumulate will be presented publicly as the story of the five-year Enquiry. With the help of Evidence, each of us can start to discover our own answers to the question: What is theatre?

The team will present their Evidence as part of Lift 04: Enquiry from 4 May–21 June 2004.
